Columbus, Ohio, is home to the second-largest Somali community in the United States. The Global Mall, a shopping center in Columbus, has become a central gathering place for that community.
We entered the mall with no intention of filming. As we were leaving, we noticed a poster reading “NO ICE” (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). After taking a photo of the poster, we were confronted and surrounded. It was at that moment that we began filming.

During the encounter, one of the men told us that their goal is to turn America into an “Islamic state.”
After you watch the video, ask yourself if the behavior on display is appropriate for someone who has been welcomed into the United States from a foreign land.
